Main Bath Renovation

Bathroom renovations always present challenges. You never know what you will find when you start demo. Our past clients recently renovated their main bath and sent us their results:

There were two main problems they had with the bathroom.  First, the subfloor had previous water damage and the toilet was sinking.  Second, the vanity was too large for the space, which prevented them from completely pulling the shower curtain or even shutting the bathroom door without stepping out of the way.

Here are the things that they did:

* Replaced the subfloor and laminate flooring with Style Selections Floriana Heather porcelain tile from Lowe’s

* Replaced the dark, over-sized vanity with a slightly smaller space-saving depth white vanity we ordered from Millard Lumber

* Replaced vanity top with quartzite remnant from Stone Concepts

* Chrome cabinet hardware and faucet

* Painted walls Sharkskin by Pittsburg Paints in satin finish

* Painted trim and in Sherwin Williams ProClassic Waterbased Alcrylic Alkyd Enamel in Extra White

* Replaced the too-small round mirror with a larger one in satin nickel finish from HomeGoods and got new chrome sconces from Lowe’s

* Replaced the handicap bars with towel racks in oil-rubbed bronze finish

The results:
